About

The Short Version

I’m Jad. I travel with my partner Jenna, and I write about what we actually experience — the good, the bad, and the overpriced.

Fattahgraphy started as a way to organize trip notes and has grown into a travel blog covering 20+ countries across 4 continents. Every recommendation on this site comes from somewhere we’ve actually been, something we’ve actually eaten, or a mistake we’ve actually made.

Where We’ve Been

Asia: Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka), Bali, Singapore, Southern Thailand (Krabi, Koh Lanta, Khao Lak), Turkey (Istanbul, Cappadocia, Suadiye)

Europe: Italy (Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Amalfi Coast, Capri — twice), France (Paris, Provence, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence), London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Brussels, Austria (Salzburg, Hallstatt), Belgium (Spa), Balkans road trip (Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia)

Americas: Sao Paulo (Brazil), Mexico City, Bahamas (Nassau), Bonaire, Curacao, Savannah (Georgia), New York City

Pacific: New Zealand (North and South Islands, 3-week road trip)

Formula One

I’ve attended 7 Formula One Grand Prix races across 3 continents: the Spanish GP in Barcelona, Italian GP at Monza, Austrian GP at the Red Bull Ring, Brazilian GP at Interlagos, Mexican GP in Mexico City, Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps, and the Miami GP. F1 travel is a major focus of this blog — from logistics and accommodation guides to honest race-by-race comparisons.

How This Blog Works

Every post on Fattahgraphy follows the same principle: write what I know from direct experience, research what I don’t, and be honest about both.

I use my own photos (shot on iPhone, edited in Lightroom Mobile). I include real prices, real wait times, and real opinions — including when a famous spot isn’t worth the hype.

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you book or buy through them. This doesn’t cost you anything extra and helps keep the site running. I only recommend products and services I’ve used or thoroughly researched.

What I’d Do Differently

Many of our posts include a “What I’d Do Differently” section — because the most useful travel advice usually comes from mistakes. We’ve overpaid for tourist traps, missed better neighborhoods, and learned the hard way about everything from train schedules to dive certifications. Those lessons are the most valuable part of this blog.
